personaly i am not gona buy a ps3 till a good modchip hits the shelves,so i can play downladed games.so does any one have any word about a posible realse of an upcoming modchip? And dose the ps3 even need a mod chip to play downloaded games,or is it capable of doing that.

I'm not exactly sure on this, so don't quote it, but I thought that one of the advantages (aside from many others) of using the Blu-ray discs is that it can help cut down piracy. I wouldn't think it would allow you to play downloaded games that easily.

like all consoles it'll take a while for the ps3 to be hacked with a mod chip tho in time it'll b easy like all the consoles today
