Yeah if you get one of the top 3 modchips (DMS4 Pro, Crystal Chip 1.1, Martix Infinity) and every game works and with DMS4 Pro only every game works when loading off the hard disk also.

A chip that only costs £5 can't be any good, since most proper chips don't retail for under like £30...

THATS TOTAL BULLSH*T! I was born in Preston and visit regularly, no official shops chip/mod PS2's as it's highly illegal over here in England. And if for some reason this imaginary shop does exist then it will be alot more than a fiver due to it being highly illegal (otherwise wouldn't be worth getting caught for) + modchips cost more than a fiver without adding labour.

I have chipped both my PS2 and XBOX, these were my first attempts at soldering and everything went right, so I'm sure you can also do this yourself and also I would not trust anyone else to modify my PS2/XBOX except from ME.

Damn in England there IS a site that sells modchips (where I got mine) although don't know how they get around it unless stock is kept in other countries, just google Divineo, however modchips are in the region of £20 - £30.

Tell me the name and location of this shop (ie Fulwood, town centre, Docks etc etc) and then I will confirm as to whether this is true or not.

PS Also why would you go about asking for a way to mod your PS2 if you already have a source. HMMMM
