yea the above link to HD combo is the best product so far. too bad im too poor for it lol. there's a cheaper option without the bottom casing, just an IDE connector soldered onto the mobo.

Um there has to be an easier way my friend did it useing something called usb extrem
and he didnt have to oepn the pstwo but thanks i will use the link

you are talking about USBExtreme and it has very poor compatibility. The link and image provided above is the product called HD-Combo you will find a link in the news section at that site to a link of a review I did for them on the HD-Combo. The other HDD option spoke of is the HD-Connect here is a link to my review of that product.

True but it works with a very small percentage of all PS2 games and the ones that it does work with most dont work well.
