hey guys,

I got this .ratdvd source, so I burnt it to dvd-r and ripped it using DVD decrypter. no problems there, but upon converting it to avi (xvid) or MPEG-2 standard, I get 'lines' upon play back

I am wondering, am I ripping in the wrong way?

actually, just thinking about it, this is probably more of a playback question? sorry, move it to the play back forum if necesary.
