I just got another XBOX after selling my old one. I want to do a soft mod to it, my old one had UnleashX, XBMC, DVD2Xbox, and many emulators. I have tried auto installers that I have burned to a cd and DVD but they will never boot, I changed out the DVD drive with a different Make from a different XboX and still nothing. I cant seem to get my xbox to come up in my network neighborhood when plugged into my router. Does anyone have a clue or an idea to help me get off the ground with this little task of mine?

That MAy Be....
I had someone else do it for my old xbox, i dont know what he had done, hea said he copied it from another xbox, he did 4 in one night (the night he did mine) so he had something good going on, I wasnt wanting to pay for anything but i guess i might have to,
is it possible to ftp into it as a stock untouched xbox?

I have the software but what files do I copy to the chip? I dont want the game saves just the Installer?
sorry im a dope, just want to make sure I do it right....
Do I extract the rars or not?
DO I use the Loader or the launcher? or both?
Just place the folders on the card? it says "2 Files" in the tutorial.. which 2 files?

that link you sent me, it had a download, actually a download and 2 mirrors, it has a 6 meg rar called "SID.4.0.NKnave.Edition.Xbox-Hq"

in the thread it says to buy a ACTION REPLAY memmory card (thats what I meant by "chip") and USB adapter, Im goin to wal mart in 20 min to go get one of those.

You just follow that tutor. You will get your xbox softmod. Unleash is in here SID.4.0.NKnave.Edition.Xbox-Hq

Do you have action replay?
If so go on xbons download Krazyies Ndure Installer then Install it!
You can get every tihng else off xbins

HI!, I havent done anything yet, I have to go home, I am currently at work, I found an action replay at a EB Games where I live, the walmart here where I work no longer sells them, but here is another question, I know it is dumb but I just wanna be able to know what I am doing tonight when I try this.
If I am reading this correctly I will need one of these 3 games to start the Installer????
007 Mech Assult or Spliter Cell......
I dont own any of these. Is this necissary to start the installer?
Is there any other way? I only own a few games I sold all mine last year when I sold my xbox...

The AR is to save linux file to xbox. The game is to load that linux file. The linux file will install softmod.
If you dont have one of those games, how can you load the linux file?

Yes u need one of those games. u cant install the softmod with out the game. the best way to softmod your xbox is use modded xbox. ftp the files to the modded xbox and then copy the files from the modded xbox to a memory card and then copy the save to ur unmodded xbox.

& Blitz Pro
If not i guess Im screwed, into ...well I can rent them i guess, but is it possible first to find them for the games I have?

oooooook I got Unleash X installed thanks again, but the DVD2Xbox doesnt have an actuall download where can i find that and oh emualtors, dvd2xbox and emulators how will I install those?

You dont need dvd2xbox since you have unleash. open file manager on unleash. it is just like window explorer. Insert a game the xbox dvd drive. DO NOT play.
One side goto location that you want to save the game. Make a folder for it. Go inside that folder.
One the other side. goto dvd drive. select all files and folders. then copy them all.
Done.
