Can anyone recommend simple to use software that will allow me to transfer from my Sony DCR HC22E using the supplied usb cable to an AVI file on my pc.

Using the supplied software i get low quality onto wmv files without sound, during instalation i get a message 'Sony digital imaging audio', An error occured during the installation of this device, driver instal file for device missing a neccessary entry, maybe because the INF was written for Win 95 or later, contact hardware vendor.
Any ideas, or will this not matter if i use a different software package.
