Viper Flashing/Backingup HELP!

I just installed my Viper Extrme mod-chip into my gc, without a problem. Using the USB adaptor, I plugged it up to the computer. Once plugged in, I installed the driver, nothing went wrong. Now I'm trying to install a proper BIOS, here's where my problems started. I installed the Cobra BIOS, and turned on my gc. Then I pressed "verify" and it said; ERROR! Data missmatch.
Does anyone know of another good BIOS and a good download site, or a way to fix my problem?
My second questions is, how do you go about backing up games with the viper-extreme chip? I'm kind of new at this... I have the blank DVD-R's but don't know where to go from there. Any asscistance will be appriciated, thanks!
