a bin is a cd image, that has to be burned first, in nero click file - burn image!

My dear friends, Nero V5.5.9.14 does not recognize .bin files. Nor does Roxio ECD5 Plat. Can you tell me what I am missing?
I would greatly apperciate it.
Cheers

i also have the same problem! iwanted to burn an mpeg2 file, so i created a bin and cue with vcdimager. i went to burn the bin with nero 5.5.10.7 and it wouldn't burn it! i had to burn the cue instead. i know all files downed don't always have the cue available, so i always look for the iso file which can be burned in nero. i hope i'm not just being stupid! i look forward to your expert advice that has never led me astray dela! taz

I know bin files can be played without burning them, a program called BSPlayer used to play them flawlessly for me. but now for some reason it won recognize the format. I was wondering what program would convert them for me to a playable media in windows. Or maybe you know of another program that would play them.
Thanks a lot.

taz, try alcohol 120% to burn!
chester, if this is a cd image, then mount it on some kind of virtual cd rom drive and extract the file in the mpegav folder (could also be called mpeg-2) or you can use isobuster as lookatme said i think!

why would you wanna do that when alcohol will recognise the bin file? and alcohol is much better than Nero for image burning!
