I have used convertxtodvd to convert several files to DVD. When I convert the files without burning straight to a disc they are placed in a folder on my hard drive. The folder is named after the first file I converted. The rest of the vob files are all inside this folder. I know I can burn this folder, along with all the files inside, on to a disc using convertxtodvd. My question is how do I rename all the vob files inside the folder? Can it be done? The vob files inside the folder are in a menu on the disc after burning but they are all named vts 1 or vts 2 etc. etc.

Hi ianmerc,

I'm not sure why you want to rename the files in the folder. If you do that, there's nothing that you can do with them. If you wish, you can rename the folder itself (though I don't know why you would wish to do that either).

If you wish to use the program again and you don't wish the files to "mingle", why not make another folder and select that in the "Settings" then "General" tab.

Perhaps you could enlighten me as to why you would want to rename your VOB files ?

Pete

Re-reading your post, if it's about the menu on the burned disc not being to your liking, why not pick the folder up with DVDLab and make your own "extremely Kweel" menus :0)

Thanks for getting back to me. The reason I want to rename the VOB files is because I start off with several diferent files with different names and diferent scenes. Whenconvertxtodvd converts them without burning it only keeps the named first file. The rest become vts. I want to get them back to their original names. Hope that makes sense to you.

Yes that is correct I believe. I load several files at once.

you might like to try doing them separately and then rename the folder they are deposited in but i think you'll find that the program will rename them the name of the movie for you.
