Ive downloaded a 4.2gig (video_ts)file from a newserver of a dvd complete with menus etc, Ive used easycd creator to drag the whole file onto a dvd-rw, it burnt ok and plays fine on my pc dvd but not on my dvd player in the living room. Ive checked that my dvd will play these sort of dvds.

Is there any software that i can get that will simply burn this file on to a dvd and close it so it plays on most dvds.

I sure that this topic has been posted a hundred times but i cant see, and i have searched. If it is an annoying question i appologise but i really would like to get this movie done tonight. cheers for any help.

Dorkess,
Not sure what you want to do, but use a "RW" that way if it doesn't work all you have to do is re-format the "RW"

it doesnt really work like that, you cant reformat a disc that you have used and use the whole disc again as new.

Im quite new to this and would like to be proved wrong.

Along with the VIDEO_TS folder, create an empty folder called AUDIO_TS

Make sure you use the caps.

Not sure why but stand alone DVD players need this.

All the bruning info you need to start is here: http://www.dvdrhelp.com/forum/userguides/141024.php#dvd9dvd2one

using an RW is a good idea. It just depends if your DVD player can read it. The problems I was having is that my DVD player is too old. (Pioneer DV-500). It will only play HP+R/RW discs. Time for a new DVD player. Thanks for the help.
