Hello there. MY ps2 is quite old now and it started to stutter and make this screeching noise so i searched online how to fix this and found some.i followed the guides and it went all fine no more noises when tring to load a game or te swap magic disk. But now after i load SM it seemed like my old backup games couldn't load anymore.They all used to play but now not anymore i'm getting the Invalid Ps2 Disc error message i got a version 5 ps2. Anyone can suggest something?

What "guide" did you follow? Was it for cleaning the laser? Also, did you adjust the laser?

While we're playing 20 questions, I might as well keep going! What brand of media do you use (i.e. - Sony 8X DVD-R)? What speed do you burn them at?

and i am using verbatim dvd-rs 8x. and the old games that used to work were burnt on Bulkpaq -rs i always burn them at 2x speed and using DVD Decrypter.And yes i alos adjusted the laser until it works without stuttering and that annoying noise was gone. what would you suggest to me?

Burn it onto better media. Those bulkpaqs you are using are pretty bad media, put it onto a genuine verbatim DVD-R 8x at 4x or slower and see if that fixes your problem.

even they used to work??. then i might gonna need lot of dvd -rs then.. is there really no other solutions?

Nah, better media is the way to go.. just buy from a reputable shop, supermediastore.com or svp.co.uk never from ebay!
