Gameshark won't save codes...............

I just purchased the "gameshark w. media player v.2" and code wise everything is fine, except for the fact that no codes are being saved. When i want to use the codes again or add new ones to previously added titles i have to ADD everything all over again from game name to codes. What am i missing or doing wrong? Yes - a have an 8 MB memory card inserted the whole time. Help please!!!

Did it come with a gameshark dongle (memory card)?
That should be what it saves them to.
I do not remember much about gameshark as i used AR Max instead, but i do not remember there being anything special, do not remember a save and exit type featuer either
