hello everyone. I am struggling with the magic keys for the slimline, i have a v12 ps2, SCPH-70012, and the keys just came in the mail yesterday. I have tried and tried to do this but I am getting nowhere. I know there are like 100 threads probably about this but I didnt know which one to post in so I created my own, my apologies. This site has always been great at helping me out so I need some help!! I get the first two pieces in with ease...I get the 3rd piece in and it boots up the swap magic disc. then what do I need to do?? open the lid put the dvd-r in and I hit x and it says not a valid ps2 disc which cannot be right because I use those discs all the time on my swap magic/slide card on my old ps2 all the time?? What am I doing wrong!! Im so annoyed with it... I would appreciate anyones help or advice. Thanks in advance guys

okay after more research, I got a backup to work!! although it stopped because the disc stopped spinning. I cant get tool C to stay in place. Im not installing it right, when i slightly push it to the left the disk spins, but once i let go it stops!!

I guess no one has any advice? but Ive read about this tape method where you open the front and place tape inside?? Is this safe? and does this eliminate the need for the hard to place TOOL C?? anyone have a link to the tape method??

Ok mate there are a few ways to sort this problem, personally i use wire to hold the button which part c is going to press because i couldnt void the warranty. But i dont pay for em so thats y lol. Another way is opening up the console and there is a button underneath the left hinge cover it with tape and you are ready to rock. post back here if you would like me to post some pics or something.

good Luck
