hey i bought a sandisk 1gb memory stick pro duo, and it was working fine i hade ape academy on it, but now i cant put any games onto it, and most of the software i put on comes up as being corrupted. when i try to put a game on the mem stick it says that i get an I/O error, and it thinks the stick is full but its not. can anyone help? am i doing somthing wrong?

yea try and format it and see if it works..
did u buy it off ebay? if so there is a big chance that it could be a fake if its still not working

yeah i bought it from ebay, how do i go about formatting the mem stick? anyone know a reputable place that i can "exchange" my memory stick at? its one of the sexy yellow clear sandisk ones

yup same as mine, go to settings and fromt here find settign which will format your memory stick...should work...

fully formatted the stick, and tried putting ape academy back on, but still egtting the same error from WinRAR, disk read error probably the disk is full. have i got a fake stick? how come i had ape academy working before but will no longer work

some sticks that are fake, work a while and then turn out to be fake...
sucks for whoever gets it.
Gives the guy that sells it time to get away.

and as for "exchanging" it you can go into any game shop that has one that looks exactly like the one that you have.
then put the old one in the new packaging and return it. say it was not the one that you wanted or something like that.

Hey make sure when formatting the Mem Stick that you format it on your PSP and not on the Computer. If you have formatted it in the Computer then it is no good for use with a PSP unless someone knows a way around it :S

you can format it with comp just dont use NTFS
FAT is what psp uses, Ive heard it supports FAT32 but to be safe use FAT

wait... are you extracting the files from the .rar STRAIGHT into the psp folder? cauz that CAN cause it to get an I/O error. dont think u... umm... will overlook that...
i thought that instantly... once i read the I/O error
