I have version 1.5 on my PSP. I have games like GTA, MLB 2006, Pursuit Force, etc. that I want to install on my PSP. However, I know I need MPH + FIX in order to accomplish this. I have downloaded the files for MPH and FIX. I need help in detail how to install this on my PSP and get these games up and running. Do I need to download firmware 2.0 for any reason? I greatly appreciate anyones assistance.

You don't need firmware 2.0 at all.
Thats what mph is for.
You take the folder that says MPH Game Loader and you put that in your root folder
you take the other two folders mphg1~1% and mphg 1 and put that in your psp/game folder
You just installed mph
Now to play the games you boot up umdemulator and change the emulation mode setting to system menu..
choose the backup you want to play press x
it will take u back out to the menu, go to mph press x and you should be good to go

I'm having the same problem.
In the downloaded readme accompanying the mphloader file it says
You will need firmware 2.00 in files format, use psardump to obtain it or my firmware launcher and use the function to install a firmware.
Once that you have the files, create the mphgameloader folder has the root of your memory stick and copy flash0 (kd, vsh...) and flash1 folders inside.
There is even a note in the flash folders which says put version 2.00 flasf files here.
I'm trying to get Daxter working so any help on that as well would be nice.
Cheers

I didn't have to do all of that. I installed one folder in root folder and the other two in the game folder, and that was it..

Yours must have come with the files already in place. Nevermind I've found them.
Still can't get Daxter to work though.

what do you see when you open up your mph?
wait if you are talking about the fix.. this is what you do...
the fix should be one folder that say mph game loader and inside about 3 or 4 folders.
You select all the folders and you drop them in the mph game loader folder which is in the root folder of your psp...
Then it should tell you that the files already exist, click yes to all..
sorry i wasnt much help earlier, i misunderstood the question

I'll tell you what I've done.
Downloaded
http://www.benanddana.com/Downloads/PSPDBZFix.rar
and put everything on my stick.
Put my Daxter iso in Iso file.
Went into umdemulator, selected daxter-iso and came back out into the system menu then went into MPHloader and the loader just hangs in the loading screen.
Any ideas?

Ok I placed the mph game loader folder on the root folder of my psp. I placed the other three folders in the custom folder into the mph game loader folder, said yes to all to replace, and the mph game loader still doesn't show up on my psp. I have the umdemulator and fastloader showing up on my psp along with three corrupted files. What am I doing wrong?

Do you have MPHG1~1 and MPHG 1 in your PSP>GAME> folder? Cause if your mph isnt showing up at all that means nothing is in your game folder

Neither of those are in my game folder. Where are those files located? Do I copy them into the game folder?

so thats why yours wasnt working..
its cause you have the mph fix but you dont have mph lol..
ok dont delete your mph fix follow this carefully..
go to psp-hacks.com
get the mph game loader 1.1..
you should find it in downloads>loaders
install the mph game loader like i wrote higher in this thread,
then after you do that then you install the fix just like i said and your mph should not only be visible but working with all the games
