Ok,

So I want to backup from my hard drive to DVD. With this particular DVD I had a few methods to get around copy protection. I tried both of the suggested methods and have the info on my HD. Now I am trying to get it to a DVD.

I currently have DVD Shrink, DVD Decrypter and a recent addition of VobBlanker. Running Windows Xp and a NEC drive with DVD + media. I have burned maybe 10-20 movies with this drive and media.

My delima lies in the fact that I am unsure what to do and must be making a simple mistake. So here is my current point.

I have both an ISO and a VobBlanked (the bad .vob entries only) file on my HDD. I got this to my hard drive using DVD Decrypter.

Now I go back into shrink and open the file.
Click Re Author.
Drag and drop main movie
Click Backup
Then it wants me to select "Backup Target" and "Target Image File"

I am a bit unsure what goes where and will get a "Please eneter valid ISO Name error" or "target is same as source error". I figured backup Target is my DVD drive.

Any ideas? I am sure its some stupid mistake. I have read as much as I can find and honestly have only been doing this for 1 week or so.

First run DVDshrink and goto:edit-->preferences, in the File I/O tab uncheck the burn with nero option.
*********************************************************************
For an ISO image on your HDD whose file size less than 4.7GB:
-------------------------------------------------------------
Insert the blank media in your drive and wait for it to be recognized

Run DVD decrypter

Goto: mode-->ISO write

for source, browse to where the image is located and choose it

for destination, choose your burner

choose 4X for write speed

click on the "hard drive to disk" icon in the window to start

wait for the process to complete
*********************************************************************

For an ISO image on your HDD whose file size is greater that 4.7GB that will be automatically burned to disk using DVD decrypter:
-------------------------------------------------------------------
Insert the blank media in your drive and wait for it to be recognized

Run DVD shrink

goto: file-->open disk image

browse to where the image is located and choose it

Click reauthor, here make all of your selections(ie..title, audio, subpicture), see link on how to re-author using shrink if needed

Click backup tab

for "select backup target", choose ISO Image file and burn with DVD decrypter

for "select target imagefile", just browse to a location (folder) on your HDD where you want the image stored and burned from, here's an example for the movie called Flight_plan;

the movie will be stored in a folder called DVD_movie

c:\DVD_movie\Flight_plan.iso

make all of your other choices for each tab, make sure your quality settings are set and burn setting is at 4X.

Click ok to start the process and wait for it to complete.
