what program is good to convert these files to watch on stand alone dvd player. And what is the quality of these files please...ed

My favorite to use for conversion is ConvertXtoDVD by VSO which will convert and burn to disc with the push of a single button with excellent speed and good quality.

They also have a Free program called DivXToDVD. a bit slower and not as good BUT it's Free :)
