just a suggestion there appears to be many guides in the afterdawn archives such as this one

a google often finds them however I cant seem to find a link to browse these guides anywhere on this site if there is one can some one please post it or tell me where it is if theres no link how about creating one to give people access to this I assume large knowledge base

Thats strange I went looking in there the other day and found a much abreviated list it all seems to be there now, dunno may they were performing site maintainence

Well, I haven't seen nor heard of such problems, but maybe one of the staff members can shed some light on this situation (if it existed).

I'm not personally aware of any temporary "shrinkage" of our guide list and can't even foresee a possibility that would create such situation.

But yes, one thing that your post reminds me of, is that it is quite often that our forum users -- even active ones -- don't have even an idea that we host tons of professionally-written guides and thousands of news on our site, but seem to consider our site to be purely a forum site, despite the tabs at the top of the page. This is highlighted often when, say, a new version of Nero is released and people start posting links to Nero's download servers (that are typically just stupidly slow everytime they release a new version), whereas we might have had the new version available on our site for couple of days already, with fast direct downloads directly from our download servers. I've tried to figure out ways to change that, but so far haven't come up with anything that we aren't doing already.. Only thing that might solve part of the problem is to have our sidebar visible also on forums like it is on main site.
