Hi, all. I've searched and searched, but i am having difficulty finding anything specific, so I will post my question here.

i have a Samsung SM-308B combo drive. One day, the drive started burning invalid discs. Any burned discs show up (in the combo drive) as having 0 free space and 0 space used. If I put the disc in my regular CD-ROM, they're simply not recognized.

I have noticed that the CD with the burned ISO is reported as being in RAW format, maybe that's not supposed to be like that.

Also, when I load the coaster up in ISOBuster, there're no files in there. I can't get a proper burn with Alcohol 120% or MagicISO.

I'm running a P4 1.7GHz with 256MB of (bizarre) RDRAM and the drive is in DMA4 mode. I've run the regedit where you remove the upper- and lower filters after uninstalling your CD burning progs.

i think the poor thing might be all done. I haven't run it in a seperate comp, because I've been dreading doing so and put it off. Now i can't, because I'm at work

Any thoughts?
