Newbie question here: I'm shrinking Chicken Little using DVDShrink. When I reauthor, I have a choice of Main title, angle 2 and angle 3. What's the difference between them? Can I just choose one to the just the movie?

You can just pick one and the backup will come out fine, sometimes the different angles can just be referring to credits in other languages, usually in Disney's case it is French. When I used Shrink I just would pick an angle and it worked out okay. I did this one movie only using CloneDVD and left all the angles checked it backed up perfect. This is the message that Clone gave me

Don't know whether it has to do with the angles, but as I stated the backup is perfect.

Try just choosing the main title. I haven't done this movie so I don't know the ins and outs of it. Generally different angles are just different camera shots of the same scene.

Take a look at the size of each title in question. See if they are close in size.

I'll try to make a guess as to what you have here...

The "angle to use" information is contained in the .ifo(navigation) files. That lets you use your remote to select the angle you want to see.
I think that in the case of this movie, all the different angles are contained in the three choices(Inside the VOB files which hold the actual content of the video).
The difference being that eachset of .vobs will have a specific set of .ifos so that each one will display different angles.

I may be completely wrong on this because I have not looked at this movie and Disney movies can be a bit odd to say the least.

Thank you for your answers!

Yes, all 3 were the same exact size and times. I'll choose one and hope that it works. I've just found that when I shrink the entire DVD with extras, I have so many problems on playback with the DVD freezing. I'm guessing that by reauthoring the movie only and making my compression smaller, I'll get less of the freezing. Thanks again!

This may have been answered in other threads but have you ever tried changing angles while watching the movie? Angle 1 displays all the signage in English; 2 in French; 3 in Spanish. You can see the letters change on the billboard when you shift angles. Very seemless, very nifty, huh? :)

Pick Angle 1 to backup the English signs.
