I just bought a swap magic set with slide card and i would like to know if you have to have the slim version or a modchip installed on your ps2 to have this work i have the bulky ps2.

please answer thanks

swap magic & slide card will work on the bulky ps2. you don't have to have a flip top

if you do have a slim ps2 then u dont need the magic keys or whatever the cal them, you can use the simple tape and tissue method

slide card is meant for fat ps2 and for slim ps2 you can use tape and tissue method like wazid360 said. when you have v14 slim ps2, then it's little more complicated to use tape and tissue method when you want your warranty to last, but it can be done, which i just did for my v14 ps2 using piece of wire for the leftside switch.

You could also do what one of my friends did yesterday to his v12. He opened the flip top and cut-out the center of the top. Works fine.
