I can't seem to get Everything is Illuminated copied. I've tried DVD Decrypter, DVD Fab Decrypter, Nero Recode, AnyDVD, and Intervideo DVDCopy 2 with no luck. Please help me back this up.
AnyDVD freezes up at about 9%, DVD Decryptor makes it to ~35%, DVDFab Decrypter gets about halfway before stopping...Does anyone have any suggestions? I've tried all the tools I know how to use or have heard of. Maybe an update to AnyDVD is necessary.
Always keep your AnyDVD updated to the latest version. However, that may not be the problem. Out of curiosity, what PC are you using and what are the system specs (OS, CPU, RAM, hard drive size and free hard drive space)?
I'm using the most updated version of all of the above software that I am aware of. Version 5.9.4.1 of AnyDVD. Also, Windows XP, Intel Celeron 2.93 GHz CPU, 1GB RAM, 80GB hard drive, 54.5GB free hard drive space. Does that info help?
Is it just the software and not the entire system locking up?
On the specs, I was just making sure you had a system capable of recording a DVD. Try this and see how it works. Use DVD Decrypter to rip the files to your hard drive while using AnyDVD running in the background to break the encryption and copyright protection. Use DVDD in File mode. To use DVDDecrypter with AnyDVD set I/O Model to SPTI. Set CSS Cracking method to none. Disable checking for structure protection. It should work without those settings, but Slysoft mentioned them recently. If you get a crash, save the DVDD log and note any error messages. If you can get a good clean source, then the rest should be no problem.
Thanks. I'm mispoke earlier about freezing up. My system is fine and doesn't freeze, but the various programs I've mentioned come across various errors at the stages mentioned above. I backup all of my DVDs so have done many on my computer and it's capable. Occasionally I have a problem like this (last time was with Dogtown), but I'm usually able to go about things differently and reach a solution. I'll try your recs and let you know what I come up with.
Well, with quite a few backups and the only failures due to disc condition, I'm sure the method works. With a different DVD of the same movie, I got those as well. On occasion I've needed to use FixVTS to make the ripped files compliant for use, but I've always gotten a complete rip. If you don't, I'd suggest doing a read scan of the DVD in question.
