When playing an AVI in Windows Media Player 10, it plays both tracks the file has (English and Russian)..! Obviously, it doesn't sound too great. How do I make Windows Media Player user the English sound track?

WMP requires a 3rd party audio switcher like Morgan Stream Switcher. My advice would be to switch to a different player like Media Player Classic which has a built in switcher.
