im having problems with hdl dump.i just cant get it to work.im doing everything it says to do in manual(config ip adress,etc).
i start hdl dump it says there is an error and it just wont "attach " itself to ps 2.am i supposed to just connect the ethernet cable into the back of my pc and the other end into the network adapter or do i need something else?the light on the back of the network adapter does not light up,yetwhen i plug it into my router it does.plz plz help
any ideas guys?

Hi
Are you using a straight through cable or a crossover cable? You would need a straight through if connecting to your router or a cross over if connecting to your NIC card.

just use your router to hook it up and make sure you have a patch between the PS2 and router and the PC and the router.

if your router is Auto-MDI/MDIX then you don't need a cross cable anywhere in the setup (as long as your using the router) if it's not make sure the cross cable is installed between the modem and the router.
