AS a complete novice to my PS2 Hdadvance 3 , I can't work out how to copy a game from PC to PS2 H/D. I have searched the forum & found guide for HD-Dump , but I need to know the steps before launching dump.

1/ Do I need to be connected to the Internet ? [My ADSL is Ethernet]

2/ Do I connect ps2 to TV or will ps2 launch on pc monitor ?

3/ If I connect ps2 h/d to my PC . I have a 2nd h/d already,do I put ps2 hd in it's place will XP see it as a ps2 h/d ?

The fastest and most reliable way is to use WinHiip 1.7.5. You need to connect the HD to your PC. If its a standard motherboard, your PC can support 4 IDE devices. I'm going to assume that your 2 hd's are on the primary channel, connected as master/slave. Your secondary channel is probably running your CD/DVD drives. If you have already created the ISO's for the games you want to tranfer and they are on one of your Windows partitions, you can disconnect the CD/DVD drives(s) and connect the PS2 drive on the second channel by itself. The BIOS for the PC will see the drive, as will windows. But, because it is not a FAT/NTFS partition, the drive will not show up in My Computer, etc. When you load WinHiip, you select the PS2 formatted HD from a drop down box, and transfer from there. There is a tutorial here somewhere on how to use Winhiip, but it is pretty straightforward.

Good luck and post any other questions you may have.

Thanks Rich
Thats a big help.
What about my other two questions, don't forget I am a complete novice at both PC & PS2 & I have not even played a ps2 before I purchased this one.
