taking over an hour to decrypt a movie??!!

dvd decrypter and dvd fab decrypter takes a lil over an hour to decrypt a movie. it only took about 15 minutes before, but now over an hour. and when i try burning a movie with dvd decrypter after using dvd shrink it takes over an hour also. any remedies to this problem?

Sounds like your DMA got turned off.

ok there were 3 selections for primay ide channel and 3 for secondary ide channel. i checked em all and the 3rd selection on the secondary channel said poi on the transfer mode so i changed it to dma if applicable. and under it on the current transfer mode its says poi mode, how do i change it on that?

Do it the same way. If that doesn't work, uninstall and restart the computer. When it reboots, you'll get the idiot message saying new hardware detected etc. Anyway, when you go back to check it, it'll say DMA.

It works.

Latest AnyDVD to rip > VOBB to blank the unwanted on a DVD > Shrink to compress > ImgBurn to burn = Never starting a thread asking how to backup a movie

ok i did this and it stills take over an hour to decrypt and burn a movie...

To decrypt AND burn?

That could be about right depending on your computer specs.

What are your computer specs?

You could try uninstalling both programs and reinstalling. Might help sort out any errors you might have.

it takes an hour to decrypt and it takes an additional hour to burn. it used to take about 15 min to decrypt and 15 to burn. i tried to uninstall and reinstall but that didnt help either.

athlon 3000 64, 512 meg ddr 3200
