can't get capture function in nerovision 3 to work properly

i think its nerovision 3 anyway. when I go to start capturing it actauclly does ebgin capturing for a few seconds then feezes. of course the video continues to roll but it doesn't continue capturing. I did untinstall an older version of nerovision(can't remember which) in the past because I wasn't paying attention on install and it took over a bunch of file types I wasn't cool with. I've also tried editing with nerovsion3 previously captured with sony giga pocket and sony's click to dvd video, both atcually, which is another long story, my sony software has been freaking out too. I hadn't used the sony stuff in a while and for some reason the option to capture from an analog device was gone. maybe someone can point me in the right direction there as well? anywho after editing with nerovsion 3 I attempted to burn the video onto a dvd-rw so I won't blow a non rw disc and it wouldn't complete burning, it gets somewhere close to the end but not quite, so I get a disc that will play, but hangs near the end, of course because it didn't get all the material intended for burning. HELP! maybe someone can recomend some software thats more stable for capturing. also the sound comes out like crap.
