i'm gonna be buying either the Asus CRW-5224A or the LiteOn LTR-52246S (after hours of research) and i found one review that said the Asus drive only supports "high-speed" CDRW media.

i'm kinda leaning towards the Asus simply because of durability (and because the perfance is very close with the LiteON) but the main reason i'm upgrading is to make use of faster CDRW media.

suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
thank you,
new guy

My opinion still is that if you got the $$$, then go for a Plextor. Also I am quite pleased with my Yamaha F1.

But Litey prolly has a better price/quality ratio.

The old school is back. All hail the new http://BitBurners.com !

Problem with a Plexy or Yamy F1, one needs emulation to play backups of Safedisc 2x= pain in da booty. Both drives are astonishing for audio (Yamy F1) for backing up audio cd protection. I still say "pound for pound" the Litey LTR 52x is the best "all in one" burner available at present.
