Hello Guys
I think I've fooked up.I replaced the laser on my ver 4 but nothing happened I think it was because the ribbon cable was not in properly so I buggered about with it but it just wasn't a good fit I ended up breaking the little clip that holds it in.In the end I managed to get it in but somewhere along the line I must have done something unfortunate as now when I power up the fan comes on and the red power button comes on but the eject light wont come on and nothing happens when you press it also I'm getting nothing on the screen not even a black screen it's as though the thing is not even plugged into the telly!!
Any ideas?

What laser did you replace it with? Did you remove the static prtection solder blob on the laser (if it had one)? Does the PS2 have a chip installed?

It was a 400 b in the ps2 and I replaced it with a 400 c,I didn't notice a solder blob though and no the ps2 is not chipped.
