my ps2 does`nt appear to have aslot for the slide card. can anyone help

Yes it does, all of them have one. Have you taken your PS2 DVD drive front off?
If you have theres like a really slim slit if you look closely, thats where you insert the card,
first put it in about 2cm from the left handside until it grips into place,
then slide it right until the tray clicks open,
then pull it open gently with your hands,
Next insert DVD and then push cover in,
insert the card to the right handside until it clicks into place and move it to the left until you hear the PS2 tray close.

Then hit X on your PS2 and voila!

First couple of times it takes a while but after you get used to it, it becomes really easy and simple to do.
