i have sly soft with decoder,shrink any dvd 3.2 and nero start smart.
i can burn anything just fine as can be but disney movies give drive errors and wont decode,and duals dont show 2nd layer on shrink any dvd to copy.anything im doing wrong,or anything im needing to upgrade? my kids love new disney and i dont wanna buy it just burn it.... found out capote was dual was pissed....any help for free upgrades or programs to fix my problems would be greatly appreciated.....

Welcome to aD!
First make sure AnyDVD is up to date - it will handle any movie out there right now w/ CloneDVD and Shrink. The latest version is 5.9.4.1.
Most movies now esp. if doing a full back up are over 4.38 gig.
If your kids are watching the backups why not just use the single layer discs & save a buck or two? Depending on your TV just keep the compression as low as possible by removing all the unnecessary audios - quality should be decent but that is in the eye of the beholder.
When doing dual layers w/ shrink just make sure you change the setting to DVD9.

If you set Shrink @ DVD9

Then what do you set CloneDVD to, then ?

For Clone you would choose DVD -/+ R DL. For some reason Clone uses dvd 5 for single layer but dual layer uses the DL instead of 9.
