I read the guide http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/1/122897 but there is still one question (what I want to do is boot the patched - bass hacked - hdloader from my memorycard, so what I did up to now:

I downloaded the *.elf file and want to make it start from my mc. so I created the title.db (with titleman), renamed the *.elf into BOOT.ELF and copied it with combination flashfxp and execftp onto my mc. but when I try to start it I get a short blackscreen, a short whitescreen and afterwards a never ending blackscreen. but this method worked with another ftp util, to copy games from pc to ps2-hd via hdl-dumb, so it must be the *.elf . so my question is: what really should I do with the *.elf to make it boot from my mc do i have to patch an old version oft the hdloader? is it a complete version - but in this case: why does it not run? and so: plz plz plz help

I have a unmodded ps2 with original hdloader disc (which contains no *.elf)
