you can find the eeprom from E drive. it is eeprom.bin. the bios is original. I don't know which mod. Which dashboard do you have?

My asking is that my xbox was softmodded but I'm trying to recover it as my son has tried playing an xbox live game and now the dashboard and sofmod are gone.
Can you assist me in trying to recover the box or information so I can recover?

no reformating of the HD has taken place, he simply put the xbox media in the DVD and then tried to play Xbox live for that game, I'm assuming it over-wrote the dashboard only, so all the files are there

well if you softmodded the system and still have the game saves on there. i would suggest putting the game you softmodded with back in and re-installing the softmod....

ok. do you have error code when xbox boot up? what is the logo appear between the big X and XBOX? do you have autoinstaller disk?

No error codes are being displayed; only that the xbox live dashboard loads by default, can't see any of the other drives
No I don't have it, can you give me some info on where to dl it?

follow the link in my sig. then look for autoinstaller disk and download it. Then burn it to CD/DVD.
