Problems backing up Sharkboy & Lavagirl dvd

Hi, i have a brand new copy of the 3D movie sharkboy and Lavagirl, i have been using dvd shrink no problem on loads of other dvds for ages now, but when i tried it on this dvd, the shrink program comes on but begins counting down from about 900 hours to go, the green progress line is fully across to the right hand side, after a few seconds, an error message comes on.( the usual CRC check )
i have tried Dvd decrypter, but this freezes at 93% each time i try.
Can anyone please assist?.

i can't remember, but i have a feeling i used just DVD Shrink on it's lonesome for this film. however what will give you 100% success is DVDFab Decrypter (free) - http://www.dvdidle.com/free.htm which is now up to 2.9.7.3

thanks for replying, i have tried your suggestion however, i am getting an error message " invalid data "
i have again tried using just DVD Shrink, and as it starts it is going backwards, after a short time an error message appears. is there a reason for this?

Sounds like your getting read errors - nothing special on this one that I remember. Try cleaning off the disc. If you have another drive try it - some drives are better than others at ripping 'bad spots'.
If all fails you'll need to exchange it for a new one.
