I want to back up muy music collection (Flac Files) to dvd for archiving purposes. I need some sugestions on what blank media I should buy. I though about dual layer but not sure of reliablity. I have about 50 gig's worth of music that is steadily increasing.

Please Help.
Thanks.

Ther choice around here are either Taiyo Yuden or Verbatim, You are in luck, if you live near a Best Buy, run over there because they have the Verbatim DVD+/- R's on sale for $14.99 for a 50 pack. If you have around 50 Gigs to back up you will need about 12 of the disks to take care of it. DL disks right now are about 10 times as expensive as single layer, so economically it makes sense to buy the single layer until the price comes down. Taiyo Yuden are available here,

Both are about the same, for data purposes they are identical, assuming that your DVD burner can handle both formats. The - format is older and works better on some of the older stand alone DVD players, while the plus format can be burned as a DVD-ROM format which is more universal for stand alone DVD players.

Later on I'm going to head over to CompUsa for a 160 gig external HD for $50 after rebates.
