Just bought 2 packs of these and am wondering how they Rate?

Depends:
Which country manufactured them?
What speed rate are they? 1x-8x or 16x?

I'll only buy the sony +1x-8x that say Made in Japan.These are made by taiyo yuden with the MID code of Yuden000-T02. High quality media.

The made in Taiwan spindles will code as SonyD11,and are pretty good.

The sony +16x coded SonyD21 gives me more errors on my backups.I bought them by accident because they were mixed in with the +1x-8x.

You can find the MID code using Nero Infotool/dvd decrypter/plextools/kprobe/dvdinfopro or dvdidentifier.

What you've got there is some of the best discs you can buy. Those are official Taiyo Yuden discs. Manufacturer Code YUDEN000 T02. I've been using them for a while and haven't had any problems.

These Are made in Taiwan and they are 1x - 8x. As for codes, I couldn't tell you. But if they are that good I will be buying more packs as they only cost $2.92 per 5 pack.

Those should code as SonyD11,and are decent.If you locate the packs that say Made in Japan,then you'll yield the taiyo yudens!

If you are located here in the USA,you can get 25 pk spindles for $8 or 50 pks for $15 when they go on sale at local stores like bestbuy/office depot/staples,and some other stores.

Starting tomorrow, there'll be 50 pks for $15 at Best Buy and Office Depot. You will find some tys in the 50 pks.
