What are the best dvdr's out there. In a pack of 50 I get about 10 -15 dvd's that are no good. I keep trying different brands. What do you guys suggest to get the least amount of crap ones. Thanks

Verbatims are top notch. Taiyo Yuden, Sony, Fuji and Maxell are also excellent choices if made in Japan. You've had sporatic success with your discs probably because they are made by the same manufacturer, regardless of what branding is on the label...if it says made in Taiwan on the label stay away, except for the verbatims.

Local stores-when on sale:

Verbatim- Office Max has a sale starting today.
Sony- Look for japanese spindles,Office depos and Best have a sale today.
Fuji- Definitely the Japanese spindles.
Maxell- Japanese spindles,or the plus format made in taiwan.Those will yield Ritek-r03.

Avoid these:
TDK
Memosux
HP
Philips
Staples brand/office max brand/playo/teoen/sonic/esa/and anything else not mentioned.

Please describe how these are no good?
Burn coasters?
Playback coasters?

Confirm some of those no good discs by viewing them on your pc,using the DVD-RW drive that burn them. See if it'll play near perfect.

Also post back your burner's brand name and model#.
