any1 know how i can get my MS dashboard back?

whenever i go 2 the dashboard, error 21 ccomes up. it says contact customer support. then it has 10 languages. the led flashes green and red. if any 1 knows how to get back my dashboard, id appreciate if u told me. some people say that i need to hotswap, or select dashupdate from a game. if this is true, wat game has the dashupdate? does halo 2 have it? how do i get 2 it?

this can be multiple problems did you mod your xbox or try also do Original games still load......

try to load some games have Live option. then look for dashupdate. Then try to load AID or SID. If you still have same problem, then do hotswap.

i can boot halo 2, but i koodnt find a dashbupdate there. i cant boot a game "star wars/tetris". i can boot ghost recon, but when i go to xbox live, it says i need an update. when i click on update, it takes me to an all black screen, and doesnt do anything.

same thing happend to me

i tried to softmod, but when i clicked on restore unmodded backup, the screen came up. i really dont want 2 hotswap. i dont want my bro 2 kill me w/ his anger management disorder--is there a better way?

do you have new games which has live? like gosht recon or any other games. Then try to go live with it to see if you can find dashupdate.
This is the only way. Otherwise you have to open your xbox.

ok thanx my momz probably get me my own xbox if i do good in school anyway at the end of the year, she told me. if so, my brother never plays his xbox, the one i tried modding, so that y i did it. i no that he never goes onto the dashboard anyway, so with my own, ill start over new. this time, hopefully i wont screw up. o yeah and any1 know exactly what the "opening up ur xbox and mixing up the wires mod" does? whats the difference?

Check to make sure your hard drive is locked. I had this problem too, and locking the hard drive solved it.
