Hooking the PS2 Online Help Me!

I need some major help with my slim ps2. this is my first time getting it to go online and I need some help doing it.

Where do i plug in the phone line?...into the wall or into the PC?
Also, help configuring my settings.

lets see here...
1) you can't go online with ps2 slim using a phone line that's an ethernet (RJ45) connection
2) you can setup your settings automatically using any online game, they have a network setup section built in.

Yeah heres how it goes the ps2 hooks straight to the TV and the network adapter is wireless...but i am having trouble with the connection....im a rookie at this stuff so....if I am doin something wrong....

behind the ps2 next to the network adapter..is an outlet that has a phone cord plug-in is that for the ethernet cable?...which means i couldnt use the phone cord and buy an ethernet..Where does the ethernet cable goto....my computer?

if you've plugged a standard phone line into the Ethernet port you don't have to worry any longer about going online, you F'd it up.

Ethernet = an RJ45 port that you use a Cat5 cable to connect between the PS2 and your router or any other Ethernet port that is connected to your network (Internet connection)

good job. just remember if you want multiple network settings you'll require a separate memory card for each.
