I just built a new computer with Windows Media Center and it doesn't seem to like DVDshrink. Everytime I start DVDshrink, the screen goes black. Thats it, just a black screen. TO get out I have to hit the windows button and then U and U to exit and shut down. The computer is not locked up, its just not displaying anything.I'm using a ATI Allinone HDTV tuner and a Gforce6600 video card. DOes anyone have any ideas on how to diagnose the problem cause?

I have had the same problem exactly. I have also been able to resolved it. The way to fix this is by changing the video output setting in your display under your video card software. Try the clone setting under displays, that should fix your problem. If you unplug all Video Display devices such as TV and only plug in your Monitor your problem will aslo be fixed. This happened to me when I changed my video disply settings as I wanted to play a game on my large screen TV and hence I wanted the image to be transfered for the game to my TV. That's all it is. Hope this helps.
