I have a black slimline PS2 and it has the Matrix Infinity chip installed. I have never had any problems with any backup games at all, everything works fine, from Japanese games to NTSC and PAL games.

However I have come up to a major problem. This is with Xenosaga 2. I finished Disc 1, so it asks me to insert disk 2. Problem is, it does not ask me to save. So when I insert disk 2, it tells me "Incorrect disk."

I have tried this disc before alone, and it loads and even says disc 2...but now it refuses when i try to load while playing when it when it actually prompts for disc 2. I tried to start a new game on disc 2...and it asks for disc 1. If I insert disc 1, it tells me incorrect disc. What i realised is that, as long as the PS2 is on, it will continue to tell me incorrect disc till I reset the console, but doing that, I will lose my location in the game. And so I cannot progress to disc 2.

I know the Infinity chip is suppose to support multi-disk games, but this is not working. Is there something I am suppose to do. Can anyone help me with this.

I had the same problem, but I was using "swap magic".
Fortunately I have my old and big V6, and changed the discs with her.
After the first save, I used my Slim Line again.
I don´t think you can change discs with the Slim Line, because the disc doesn`t stop spinning.
Better make the disc transition with the console of a friend, save the game,and go ahead with disc 2 on your pstwo.
