Alright Folks.

Right just getting into this PS2 online business.

Need to turn off my chip to get the DNAS codes of normal games or something, which I?m reading around at the min.

Thing is I got my PS2 modded nearly 2 years ago and I?ve forgotten which chip I have and the functions to turn it on off etc.

Question is there any way of telling which one i have without pissing about and opening my PS2 up. Not particularly bothered if I have to, just a bit of an inconvenience.

not that i know of. Unless it gives you a name or somthing on the load up screen like a DMS4 or Matrix Infinity usually does

usually to turn chips off you hold the reset the down for a few seconds don't ya?

They become active again then whe you reset/power off don't they?

if you don't get an on screen indication at power on or boot then put in a PSX disk and see if it boots directly without any special button holding (controller or console). it's easier to narrow the playing field down if you know which buttons do what first and you learn this by playing with it......try the booting first then try holding different buttons as you boot and see if it makes a difference on anything.

Cheers Guys.

Managed to get in touch with the guy who chipped it. Apparantly its a ripper 2 gold chip.

Any ideas where I can get some info on this chip. Most of the info on Google is in Spanish?
