I have a Sony DCR-DVD92 that i got from Wallyworld and i love it. It ran about $500+, but very much worth it. Make sure you get at least one mini DVD-RW. I use DVD Shrink to get images off the mini dvd then use DVD Decrypter to burn to a full size dvd. Very easy to use!

I'n not for sure mini dvd+rw's are made. The camcorder you have will only write to DVD-R. Goto wallyworld and pick you up a few. Your dvd burner should have no problem reading it.

The DVD92 does record on + & - RW. See product description below:

http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?skuId=6983311&type=produc...

Get some, as you will save yourself lots of $ by getting a 10-pack and dumping them onto your HD.

Jvc has a camcorder that has a hard drive rather than media. It also records in mpeg2 format. That way it is already dvd compliant and rather that capturing to a hard drive you are just transfering a file from one hard disk to another.

@club32
That will be the next generation in camcorders, and will be my NEXT purchase (when the price has come down a bit). Thanks

Ya I agree with that. The price is way to much but I hope they all go that way. Same as digi cameras.

Actually, I just bought a 10pack of RW mini's at Best Buy (in Mpls) for 19.99. They usually sell for 24.99, but these were "open box" items. The downside is that they are Memorex (the worst media possible), but maybe their mini's arent so bad. We'll see.
