Was wondering if I should install the lastest update to dvd fabdecrypter. Things are working well as is.
If I need to where should I go to get the lastest.
Thanks

Why wouldn't you wanna install it unless you have no room on your HDD? There's no problems having contingency plans. I always use Shrink and Decryptor with AnyDVD. But if I have to I have VOBB, DVDFab, CloneDVD and a couple of other rippers.

I never install an update straight away.I let go for a few days to see if there is any problems with it.I updated dvdfabdecrypter already and backed up some dvd's already. So far so good.No problems at all.

I totally agree! But when that grace period is over and it's safe to install, I'll do it and keep it as the backup.

I wouldn't!
I did it and now they only give you a 28 day trial period before you have to buy it when it was free. I can't even roll it back because I can't find a link to it anywhere anymore- I did it and have been on here searching for help for hours to at least roll it back to the 2.9.7.2 version so I can continue to get it for free.

I have a question. Ive been reading all the threads and I came to the conclusion to download DVD FAB decrypter for Memoirs of a Geisha. I was using older vewrsion of AnyDVD Shrink3.2 and DVD Decrypter. they didnt work at all. So I got DVD FAB decrypter. I started it and it saved to a file. I went to shrink it and it only saved the last scene of the movie. The rest didnt backup at all. What did I do wrong?

Spiral216,
Did you rip the whole movie to HD using DVDFAB Decrypter. Did you have AnyDVD activated while using DVDFAB-D? Why not just update AnyDVD as the update is free

actually I finally got it to work. I did back up memoirs of a geisha successfully using DVD Fab Decrypter 2.9.7.3 and then DVD Shrink then DVD Decrypter to burn with Nero. I didnt have AnyDVD in the back at all. And the update isnt free. I dont have a license 21 days is up. Thanks though.

Spiral216 ,
Now I understand about AnyDVD. Below is a guide that might help you as on the newer DVD movies there are structural problems w/ them after the rip and VobBlanker has been taking care of that. Just look at the guide and store it for when you need that help. You can substitute Shrink for Recode.

I have Sonic's MyHd but I can't seem to find a way to put the files on the Disk. What do I have to do to burn a DVD from those files. I may be reached privately or here. Please help!!!!!!!!!

@MrHifi,
after u rip the movie u have to shrink it because it will not fit on a single-layer dvd, also u don't have to worry about the Audio_TS folder as maybe u have seen there is nothing in it.
here is a guide on how to use DvdFab, DVD Shrink
http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/334154
P.S. u could use the search because there might be other threads about this movie

Has anyone ever seen anything in the AUDIO_TS folder? Does anything supposed to go in there? Or is there no purpose?

gogochar,
Your older DVD Players will not play the movie w/o seeing the 2 folders on the DVD so this is why alot of programs make the 2 folders. The audio is carried in the video stream w/in the video folder and the audio folder is empty.

There is a chance that AUDIO_TS is for DVD Audio (those audio only DVDs with higher quality audio). I am not sure because I have yet to see a DVD Audio disc.

To all,
i successfully used Nero by importing the TS files I had gotten fron DVD FabDecrypter into it. I burned onto a double layer DVD+R disc. Really neat. For me the joy is in the doing. i don't collect films so it is just for the fun of it.
To the fellow who asked about the Audio TS file. I did get a bunch of files in it after running theree DVDFabdecrypter. I did not use them when running Nero. Also, I have made many 24 bit 96kHz files from R to R tapes. They sound superb on my Elite DVD-09 DVD players that plays 24/96 files..

Reel to Reel is great!!! I love it, just that the tapes are pretty rare. I never though about making DVD audio out of them. That is a great idea.
