i lost my slide card and tried to use the end of a spoon to swap discs (bad idea).

now my tray is stuck and it wont come out. the ps2 makes weird noises...

i cut up a new card but the white thing inside wont budge..

just tried opening it up but i cant figure out how to pull the tray out..

edit: i gave the tray a good yank and it came out...all the way out.

when i try to put it back in, it lines up with the white alignment thing but when i push it in, the laser area goes up and its blocking the tray from going in


edit: all fixed. moral of the story: dont substitute a slide card for a plastic spoon

Dude the same thing happened to me too. The solution: Keep messing with it and you'll figure it out, I did. The thing about that liitle white thing is that when you are trying to put it back together you need to put that white thing all the way to the right and then push the tray over...you should also notice that underneath the tray there is a liitle notch in wich the white thing uses as a guide. Keep that in mind and you'll figure it out. Me personally, my tray had been messed up for a while. Opening and closing when it wanted to. But when i took it apart and figured out about the notch for the white thing, I now have a working disc tray. Hope this helps you out.

Or what you could do is open your ps2 up and then what you could do is take off the black top over the dvd drive and put the white notch all the way to the left and then take the tray that comes out and push it all the way back. Happens only when 1.)you use a spoon,knife, etc or 2.) you yank to hard when pulling the tray out after using the slide card. Be careful to your ps2

Some how my PS2 logo thingy where u unstail it to make the slide card work.

I dont know why, but it makes my ps2 tray stuck then I had to push it in.

BTW i was using Harddrive advance. I think I mess it up while installing the fliptop.

I opened my ps2 and fiddled around with the clocks inside near the disc tray and it worked...

yeah somne pics go a long way. i had the same problems but from the top of my head il try explain how to fix it if u show some pics of the ps2 opend up il b able to tell you because then il remembers whats what. Anyway u know the 2 jaggy circle mechanisms well im sure u slide the white lever so the laser unit is up far as it goes. slide the white lever which u move with the slide car left and right ul know what im talking bout. right once it at the top ( i think u slide it right) infact u do. Ok u push the left side of the tray in lifting the right side slightly so it does not touch the mechanisms one its about half way in put the right side down and slide the tray back . You should now notice that the laser unit is at the top. plug in your ps2 and press eject see if it works( you can screw it bk to gether or what ever it wont make any difference just remeber not to touch anything when its powered up. If your still having probs post pics and il guide you more detailed
