When I go to copy any movies with dvd shring or dvd cloner it runs so slow. It takes hours. When I first got the programs It would do the movies in less than 30 minutes. Im new to this so Im not sure if I even have this question in the right spot. Does anyone have any ideas or can tell me where to ask this question?

Check to make sure DMA mode has been enabled for all your devices (ie..burner, hard drive, etc.)

Here's a guide if you need it:

Do you defrag your HHD weekly? Do you run spyware removal software. Do you remove the movie files after the burns? Doing these things will keep you pc well tuned. Are you multitasking during recoding or burning?

Im not really sure how to defrag the computer. I know my husband did a clean up. We checked the other thing and everything is at the DMA. I removed the movies from the place in readache from dvd cloner. that was the only place i could really find them stored.

Having a small amout of free hard drive space available can also cause this, how much is left?

Goto-->my computer, right click on your primary hard drive and choose properties. Here look for free space in bytes or in GB, how much is left free in giga bytes {GB)? If you have approx 15GB or less, then you need to get rid of any files you don't need and make more room. After you've gained back as much space as possible defrag the drive.

You can defrag by going to my computer, right click on your primary hard drive (c:?) and choose properties, click on the tools tab and choose defragment now.

To defrag the HDD do the following. Click on start>all programs>accessories>system tools>disc defragmenter which opens the defragger. Highlight the drive to defrag and click on defrag. If you have more than one do all separately.

A free spyware remover is AdAware from lavasoftusa.com install it and let it remove all the crapola on your pc.
