hey guys i just recently bought vbulletin and when i was finishing the installation i got this messege

seems that mysql cant find the mattl folder, make sure you have the correct path and make sure you input the values to the directory are correct , 1 wrong letter or puntuation and it wont find it.

HI, I've not installed vbulletin before, but have installed lot's of things that use mySQL.

When installing all of them I have had to specify the mySQL server host as "localhost" without the quotes, not as a username or location as it looks like you may have done here.

Try following the ionstallation through again and placing localhost in the server host section.

yes , i installed mysql and also set up as localhost :)

shouldnt really matter though as long as the adress is correct you should be able to put it anywere, yes no ?

vBulletin can go anywhere, yes, as long as you can get to the address through a browser, mySQL can go anywhere to.

The localhost bit is when you are setting up vBulletin not mysql, you need to put localhost and the password you setup when you installed mySQL.
