I'm about to receive a 1.5 psp. I've been reading a lot about this homebrew stuff a lot lately. Luckily, I didn't pay an arm and leg for it just because it's 1.5 because from the way it looks now u can play pretty much all homebrew on it. I know i'm really going to want to play fight night and syphon filter. so i've got a couple q's:
-What are the most disappointing homebrew apps that don't work with the gta hack?
-Previous 1.5 users, do u regret updating? why?
-I've heard bad things about the web browser in 2.6 but 2.5 is fine? is there a site i can get 2.5 cuz i'm assuming sony will give me 2.6.
-One big point of staying at 1.5 is booting ISO's, but i've heard u can only boot the first five games. is this still true? Does anyone think it's worth staying at 1.5 until new games can be boot?

I am not a previous 1.5 user, i am a 1.5 user and im telling you now do not do it.
Youd be better off going out and buying a new psp they are cheap now, they sell psps singularly nothing but psp battery and charger.

Dont know about the web browsers in 2.01+ ive never used any firmware above 2.0, but heres where youll get the 2.5 US

I dont know what your talking about booting first five games. Ive never heard of it. Alot of backups now run allowing much much faster load times and seemless gameplay.

Some news on the ISO front, Sony is now fighting back against this by having no...is it PRX files?... on up an coming games, its supposedly going to make it harder to copy them.
Here anything bout this Piece?

Yeah the first game is Outrun 2006, it has no PRXs apparently they are embedded in the .PSP files.
So far they have been able to create a tool to swap the prxs within the .psp file.
However the game is still not running.
Pretty smart fellows tho.

Got some encoding software Piece that will encode AVC to 480x272 just running it now, will let u know the results.
Its worth $500....;D
