I was wondering if it is possible to use the HDD from my TIVO for my PS2. Would I need to reformat the HDD or delete all the current files I have on the HDD. Would deleting them from the Directv menu do it or would I need to do something else? Any help will be appreciated. Thanx in advance.

Generally any HDD should work, I havn't run into any that havn't.

HDLoader, and the like, use a proprietary format for data. When you use an unformatted HDD with HDLoader it will offer to format it for you, so you don't have to worry about that. Using you Tivo HDD probably isn't the best idea because you won't be able to use it for Tivo anymore when you are done with it.

It is also not possible to patition a HDD for PS2 and NTFS or Fat32 file systems.

I would like to start off by thanking you ToxicFish. So thank you for the reply. I am really eager to know if I will be able to get this to work for me. So what you are saying is that I most likely would not be able to use the Tivo HDD cuz it has already been partitioned. Oh and by the way if I am capable of using the Tivo HDD then I will no longer need it for my Tivo. Is there any way to clear a HDD so that it becomes like a new HDD "unformatted," if so fill me in with some new info. Thanx in advance.

What I'm saying is that once you use your Tivo HDD for your PS2 you won't be able to use it for your Tivo anymore.

All you would need to do to format the HDD is to plug it into your PS2 and run HDLoader. HDLoader will format the HDD for you.

Yes they work. I use those all the time. If it's a western digital one u will have to adjust your network adapter so it will fit

ps3 with 20gb hard drive

xbox 360 premium edtion with vga/hd hook up to my dell 20.1 inch widescreen lcd.

White and black 1.5 psp's

I'll take this down WHEN micro$oft decides to stop being lazy and make the capcom fighting games backwards compatible with the 360 dammit!!!

Cool man, Thanx for all the info ToxicFish. Now all I need to do is find out more about HDLoader. I also read somewhere about something called WINHIIP, I would also like to know more about that to. I've been searching for some tutorials regarding the 2 but haven't had any success. You got any links or references about either of the 2? Thanx in advance.

ToxicFish

I just came across HDAdvance 3.0 and was wondering if it would format the HDD or do absolutely need HD Loader? If you know about HD Advance 3.0 would you give me a heads up please. Thanx in advance.

HDAdvance is basically the same thing as HDLoader. The programs even look the same. The difference is how the code for the apps will read games. You are better off sticking with HDLoader because it is still updated from time to time, where as HDAdvance has way less support.

As for tutorials, console.iscentral.net has a pretty good library of tutorials available. You can either go to the turorial link on the home page or click here for the direct link:

Thanx alot ToxicFish. Dude this week I'm getting a 200GB MAxtor HDD. I said hell with that 40Gb HDD from my Tivo, although I still might just by an USb Enclosure and use it for my PC. But anywayz...Man I can't wait. I need to learn everything about connecting the HDD and playing games with it as soon as possible. I can't wait man I'm freakin almost about to piss my pants. LoL. But thanx for taking the time to reply and provide me with some info. ToxicFish... Peace.
