OptoDisc 4.7GB DVD-R Media for General Use in 50, 100, 200, 500 Pack


You can burn this disc at 2X on Pioneer
I saw this webpage....

It says:
A05/105 DVD burner!
Click here (Zip Format, 1.10 MB) to download and upgrade the firmware for A05/105 burner, and then Optodisc DVD-R media will work at 2X speed after a flash of this burner firmware!
Please Note: This firmware is not officially developed by Pioneer, so if there is any damage caused by using this firmware, user will take his own risk on using it.

Has any dvr-105 users performed the follwing flash? Were there any setbacks and did it actually work?

hey alinero, can u tell me if optodiscs are of good quality? do they freeze on dvd backups?

I used it and it lets you rip at more than 2x. Yesterday i was getting speeds of 7.9x on my drive. I highly recommended it. Letting you burn at 2x on 1x disc is a great time saver and i haven't had a single bad disc when burning at 2x.

Ok thanks, I ordered the Blue top optodiscs..what color top are u guys using just in case there is a difference between optodiscs

i use the silver top optodisc also ritek and accu dvd-r and they all work well at 2x
